SSCS

Here is the beautiful wall hanging I received from Marcia in Chookyblue's SSCS. I love it.

The Christmas angel has pigtails made from embroidery thread with little red bows and a real jewel around her neck.

Thankyou to Marcia and also to Chookyblue who has done a fantanastic job organising us all.

Eureka!!!

I have been having trouble finding my photos, but have worked it out. This is a ruler case I made for Peg for a Christmas gift. She loves dogs and I found this pattern and thought it was perfect. It is also one of the black and white challenge things for 2009.

Black and White

This is a full view of the ruler case. I have got to work out how to get more than one photo per post.

More Christmas stuff

This is a quilt I made, I was given the kit by my son and his family for Christmas a couple of years ago. It is called past times. The cushion I received at our Christmas party last year, it is made by Ros, who has since moved away, so I treasure it.

Another folk art piece. I am flying to Sydney this afternoon to pick up Elliott who is coming to Narromine for a holiday. He starts school in January .

Secret Things

I have been unable to post anything on the blog because everything I have made lately has had to be kept a secret. This wall hanging I made for Peg's birthday.

It consists of a wall hanging and various stitcheries that hang on it attached by velcro.

You just change the saying to suit your mood.

It was great fun to make...

and I know Peg Likes it.

I have also made my SSS gift, I have heard that my partner has received it. The Club Quilt Christmas gift swap and my Club Quilt paper bag swap strip, none of which I can show you until after the event.

Stitcher Angel Swap

Look what I received in the mail today, all the way from Gouda (where they make the cheese) in the Netherlands from Marleen.A wall hanging pattern featuring cats, some Japanese fabric a reel of verigated thread and some felt flowers.

A delightful pin cushion, needle case and a purse with compartments for keeping special treasures in.

Marleen has put packets of buttons in the pockets, I shall find other trinkets to go in them. Thankyou to Marleen for these beautiful gifts. I shall treasure them. Also thankyou to Helen for all her organising.
